The Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation today announced the withdrawal of all three agricultural laws. This announcement caused a wave of happiness among the farmers. Various reactions started pouring in from all over. Meanwhile, farmers sitting on dharna at Makrauli toll of Rohtak district also expressed their reaction. Raju Makrauli, Rohtak district head of Chaduni faction, who is leading the Makrauli toll, said that it is thankful that for the first time in a year, the Prime Minister should say something.

At the same time, he said that till the guarantee of MSP will not be available. The dependents of the farmers who died in the movement will not get jobs, the dharna will continue till the dead will not get the status of martyrdom. Before the fulfillment of these demands, even if the United Kisan Morcha gives a call, then their words will not be listened to. Because the dharna here is not going on the basis of the United Kisan Marcha. Nor has the United Kisan Morcha helped in any way on this dharna. Raju has appealed to the farmers sitting on dharna at various places not to leave any dharna site till all these demands are met.

Balraj Kundu has described the decision of withdrawal of all three agricultural laws as victory of hard penance and sacrifice of the food donors. For this, they thank the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi, and at the same time it is also urged that they should ensure the return home with respect to the food donors while accepting all the pending demands of the farmers including the guarantee of MSP. Kundu said that this victory has been achieved today only because of the collective solidarity, sacrifice and struggle of the farmers across the country. More than 700 farmer brothers and sisters have died in this victory, whose sacrifice will be written in golden letters. Balraj Kundu said that this fight for farmers’ rights is not over yet. Many important demands like implementation of C2+50 percent formula, including MSP guarantee, remain unfulfilled. Only when all these demands are fulfilled will the real and complete victory of the peasant movement be achieved.
