New Delhi: instagram has announced that it is discontinuing it Snapchat Like messaging app ‘Threads’. According to a report in TechCrunch, Instagram will no longer support threads until the end of December. The report states that users will start seeing in-app notifications about the shutdown of the app from November 23.

Meanwhile, Instagram has started testing a new feature that allows users to add music to their feed posts, similar to Reel and Instagram Stories. India is one of the few countries where the company is testing this feature. The other two are Brazil and Turkey.
With this feature, Instagram is planning to give its users a way to add soundtracks to their feed photos. Support for adding music is already available in Instagram Stories and Instagram Reels. However, users post short videos on the reels; Instagram Stories disappear after 24 hours. Instagram feed posts have no expiry. According to the company, the feature is being tested with a small percentage of Instagram’s global community and has been expanded based on learning and feedback from the Instagram community.
