There should be no safe haven for those who commit crimes against the country: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said there should be no safe haven anywhere in the world for those committing crimes against the country and its people.

In fact, addressing a joint conference of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at Kevadiya in Gujarat, Modi claimed that the previous government did not have the will to fight corruption.

Prime Minister Modi also said that his government after hard work in the last six seven years has established the confidence among the people that it is possible to fight corruption and they will get the benefits of various government schemes without the involvement of middlemen.

“In the last six-seven years, we have been able to instill confidence among the people that it is possible to stop corruption in the country. The people of the country today believe that they will get the benefit of government schemes without any middleman.

“Corruption, big or small, snatches away the rights of the common people. It hinders the progress of the country and affects our collective energy,” he said.
