Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani was ‘overwhelmed’ when 19,000 girls cheered for Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Mrs. Ambani said that some of the girls in the stands today could be the superstars of tomorrow. “There could be a Jhulan or a Harmanpreet here, not just cricket but a superstar from any sport in the future. They can achieve on the global stage and bring accolades for India.

At the time of the toss, Suryakumar Yadav was accompanied by Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of the Indian women’s team and Mumbai Indians in the WPL, who were there to support this special match, a celebration of women in sports.
