Telangana Chief Minister and TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to hold a meeting of TRS Legislature Party at Rajya Bhavan on Monday at 11.30 am. He has directed all MLAs, MLCs, Party State Executive Committee members, District Presidents, Zilla Parishad Presidents, DCCB Presidents, DCMS and District Presidents of Rythu Bandhu Committees to participate in this program.
Rao, commonly known as KCR, said a plan would be chalked out in the meeting to hold dharnas, agitations and protests over the Centre’s demand to buy Yasangi paddy in the state.
After the meeting, a delegation of the Chief Minister and state cabinet ministers will leave for Delhi on the same day to meet the Union ministers and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the demand for paddy procurement.
TRS MPs in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will protest in line with the agitation in Telangana. The CM said that the Center is procuring 100 per cent paddy from Punjab and the agitation program will continue with the demand of FCI to procure 100 per cent paddy from Telangana.
He also said that this is an important issue for the farmers of Telangana and the TRS party is ready for intense struggle for the procurement of paddy this time and requested all the invitees to participate in the event.
