After emerging as one of India’s most entertaining thrillers with an International Emmy nomination for Best Drama Series, Aarya is all set to enter the digital scene with Season 2. The second season of Aarya follows the journey of a mother fighting the dark world of crime. And enemies are besieging his family and children. sushmita sen Arya will be seen reprising the role of Sareen and will be joined by actors Sikander Kher, Vikas Kumar, Mayo Sarao, Ankur Bhatia, Akash Khurana, Dilnaz Irani and others.
Ahead of the release of Arya’s second installment, Sushmita spoke about how director Madhvani inspired her to become better. “It’s nice to see the same series progressing with so much speed and difference, when you have already taken the story miles ahead and it always used to be a question mark! Ram Madhvani used to say what are we going to do in the rest of the season? There is already a lot and then he would say, wait for it, we have a lot of material; we have a great subject! So, it was wonderful to work during the lockdown period, we got to shoot in Jaipur. Had to do that which is Arya’s hometown and of course the patchwork was executed in Mumbai, so our schedule was executed to a great extent through the lockdown,” she said in a statement.

Sushmita Sen also spoke about her experience shooting for the show amid the pandemic. Apart from this, the actress shared details about the shoot and told how the crew was prepared in PPE kits and there was mandatory quarantine in between the shoots.
“We have now become lockdown experts,” the actress said in a statement, “We either release during the lockdown or shoot during it, this is our new thing! When we finished shooting for Arya 2, So on our farewell, we said how blessed we are that we were working during the pandemic. There were a lot of people who had to sit at home, but it is also a good culmination of teamwork. We have Disney+ Hotstar, Ram Madhvani’s film, the entire crew and cast were together. Everyone was just trying to follow the rules and make it possible,” she said.
“My God! The definition of a bubble is now etched in my mind forever. It is seriously tough for any crew member to work in a PPE kit, working 10 hours a day from head to toe! And Continuous testing, making sure we stayed away from our families, quarantine for 7-10 days before starting work, all these measures seemed difficult initially. But in the bigger picture, we can work in such times and create something. We’re full of gratitude to be able to do that you love. I mean Aarya Season 2 is a huge leap from the first season.”
Arya returns with Season 2 on December 10, 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar.
