‘Supreme Court Mobile App 2.0 ready for android users’: CJI says it enables govt dept to track cases

In order to enhance and provide better services to the users, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Wednesday (December 7) announced that the Supreme Court Mobile App 2.0 with additional features is ready for Android users. Supreme Court Mobile App 2.0 will enable all law officers and government departments to track their cases. The CJI said that with the new version of the app, government departments can now see their pending cases. He also said that the Supreme Court Mobile App 2.0 would be available on the Google Play Store in an hour and the app for iOS users would be available in a week. The CJI said, “This time we have given an additional facility, all law officers can access their access in real time. All government departments can check their pending cases. Please make use of it.”

The CJI further said, “The summary of the updated app states that the nodal officers of the Central Ministry/Department can view their cases, status orders, judgments and any miscellaneous documents filed etc. filed in the Supreme Court.”

“Android version 2.0 is available while iOS will be available in a week’s time. Apart from the records of lawyers and advocates, the application will give exclusive real-time access to all law officers and nodal officers of various central government ministries. They can View court proceedings by logging in through the app,” he underlined.

In 2021, the Supreme Court launched a mobile application to enable journalists to report on Supreme Court proceedings without visiting the court premises during the pandemic.
