SP regime had ‘Bahubalis’, only ‘Bajrangbali’ in BJP rule: Union Minister Amit Shah | Allahabad News – Times of India

PRATAPGARH: Attacking the Samajwadi Party (SP) on the law and order situation in the state under its regime, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said that during SP government there was a ‘bahubali’ (gangster) in every district, but because of the strong action taken by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath against gangsters and criminals, one can now find only ‘Bajrangbali‘ (Lord Hanuman).”

Asserting that all the mafia dons and goons have been wiped out from UP by the Yogi government, Shah said, “Ab bahubali nahin, Bajrangbali dikhte hai (Not musclemen, but now Lord Bajrangbali is seen everywhere).” He was addressing a public rally in Raniganj in Pratapgarh district in support of party candidate Dheeraj Ojha on Tuesday.
Further claiming success on the law and order front, he said, “Can any mafia trouble you anywhere? Can anyone encroach your land, play with the honor of mothers and sisters? Yogi Ji has ensured the migration of the mafia from the state.”
“If Akhilesh (SP chief Akhilesh Yadav) is voted to power in the state, then Mukhtar Ansari, Atiq Ahmad and Azam Khan will be out of jail,” said Shah, asking people to vote for BJP if they wanted to keep them behind the bars.
“BJP-led state government has freed lands worth Rs 2,000 crore from mafias and goons across the state and now houses are being constructed for the poor on the same land,” Shah said.
Lauding the BJP government in UP, Shah said, “In the last five years, incidents of dacoity and robbery have gone down by 72% and 62%, respectively. The count of murders, kidnappings and rape has also dipped by 30, 30 and 50%, respectively.”
Taking a jibe at SP chief, Shah said, “Akhilesh Babu is not a good bowler,” and urged the voters of Uttar Pradesh to hit a “boundary”.
Shah in fact compared Akhilesh with a bowler delivering continuous full-toss balls that were bound to be whacked away for boundaries by the BJP.
He said, “2014, 2017 aur 2019 mein jitaya, ab 2022 mein ek aur chauka lagane ka mauka aaya hai (People voted BJP to power in 2014, and 2019 parliamentary polls and 2017 assembly polls and now there’s another chance to hit a four in) 2022).”
Seeing another chance, Shah said, “UP will be taken to the first spot as far as development is concerned.”
Claiming that SP, Congress and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have been wiped off in the first three phases of state assembly polls, Shah said that “BJP is going to register triumph on more than 300 seats.”
