The former railway minister, who was suffering from neurological ailments, was taken to a private hospital on Sunday after his health deteriorated.
Senior Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy was admitted to a city hospital after he complained of uneasiness. An official gave this information on Tuesday.

His condition is stable and currently under observation, the official said.
