Senior citizen who shot daughter-in-law for delay in serving breakfast

A 76-year-old Thane resident, who allegedly shot dead his daughter-in-law for delaying serving breakfast, surrendered before the police late Saturday evening. Police had said that Kashinath Pandurang Patil had fled after firing his revolver at his daughter-in-law Seema Ravindra Patil (42) at his Rabodi house on Thursday morning and later succumbed to his injuries on Friday morning at a nearby hospital.

An official said Patil, a builder, surrendered at the police station. Senior Inspector Santosh Ghatkar of Rabodi police station said that he has been arrested for murder and other offences, under the provisions of the IPC and Arms Act.
