Research says Hyderabadi biryani can be healthy; here’s how
According to a recent report by ‘African Journal of Food Science and Technology’ (AJFST), a plate of Hyderabadi Biryani is really beneficial for health.

Hyderabad: ‘word’ in HyderabadBiryani‘ is a feeling. But we are sure no one would have ever told you that this dish is good for your health. Yet, a new study may be changing anyone’s perception.
According to a recent report by ‘African Journal of Food Science and Technology’ (AJFST), a plate of Hyderabadi Biryani is really beneficial for health.
“The world famous Hyderabadi Biryani is a rich and classic preparation made from rice, vegetables, eggs, meat and fish with various spices. Being a complete food in itself, it has high nutritional value and health benefits,” the study said.
The report also states that both vegetarian and non-vegetarian biryani have health benefits.
“Biryani can be made more nutritious by increasing the number of vegetables and limiting the amount of spices. Basmati rice used to make biryani is a gluten-free carbohydrate.
The study also explains the origin of the rice dish and its entry into the Indian subcontinent.
