Ludhiana: Ludhiana on Sunday recorded 569 . Reported covid-19 case Out of which 509 were reported from the district. The city also reported one death.
Meanwhile, two patients, whose genome reports were received, tested positive for the Omicron variant. On Saturday, 610 persons from the district, 561 had tested positive for the disease.
According to the health bulletin, a person from Ludhiana died of covidin on Sunday. The deceased was a 44-year-old male resident of Basti Jodhewal, who was admitted to the CMC.
Meanwhile, health department officials said that with one death from Ludhiana, the total number of deaths in the district has risen to 2,121, while 1,066 deaths have been reported from the district/state. Ludhiana Hospitals So far.
The Health Department said that 30,35,487 suspects have been tested for COVID so far in Ludhiana district. It said that out of 509 cases in Ludhiana, 55 were contacts of positive patients, 43 were from OPD, 265 were from influenza-like illness from Flu Corner, 47 were from health care workers, ANC 1, 95 patients being traced, one was a police personnel and 2 were UK international travelers. 60 persons from another area tested positive for the disease on Sunday.
Officials of the local health department said that till Sunday, the total number of patients from Ludhiana district was 89,933, while the number of patients from outside districts/states increased to 12036.
The Civil Surgeon said that 85,669 COVID positive patients have been cured so far in Ludhiana district which is 95.26% of the total cases.
