Pune: Thieves explode at ATM centre, flee with over Rs 28 lakh in cash. Pune News – Times of India

Pune: Unidentified people allegedly blasted a ATM Center and camping with over Rs 28 lakh cash On Chakni MIDC in Maharashtra’s Pune in the early hours of Wednesday, police said.
An official of Pimpri Chinchwad police said that two burglars probably used explosives to blast the ATM center at Bhamboli in Chakan MIDC.
Pimpri Chinchwad Police Deputy Commissioner of Police Manchak Ippar said, “It seems that the thieves used some explosives and blew up the machine and fled in the early hours of the day with Rs 28 lakh to 30 lakh in cash.”
He said the forensic team visited the spot and took samples to verify what kind of explosive material was used for the blast.
“We are yet to ascertain whether the thieves used TNT detonators, gelatin sticks or any other explosive material,” the official said. Two thieves are visible in the CCTV footage.
