Police officer removed from post for making objectionable remarks against CM Yogi

A police officer was removed from his post and sent to police lines after a purported video surfaced of him allegedly making objectionable remarks against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, officials said on Thursday. Asandra police station in-charge Dhyanendra Pratap Singh allegedly made remarks against the chief minister while talking to someone in his office room.

A journalist forwarded the video of this conversation to BJP District President Shashank Kushumesh, who had lodged a complaint against the officer with the Superintendent of Police Anurag Vats a few days ago. Kushumesh alleged that the SHO was trying to revolt against the government by publicly making such remarks.

Police said that interrogation is going on.
