Patra Chawl case: Sanjay Raut’s ED to end today, wife Varsha questioned for 9 hours

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut’s Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody to end today. He was arrested by the probing agency in connection with a money laundering case linked to alleged irregularities in the redevelopment of Patra chawl and related transactions.

Meanwhile, his wife, Varsha, was questioned for over nine hours by the ED in connection with a money laundering case.

The central agency is conducting a probe linked to a Rs 1,034-crore alleged land scam related to the redevelopment of the Patra “chawl” in Mumbai’s Goregaon area.

After over nine hours of questioning, Varsha Raut left the ED office. Varsha Raut said she hasn’t been called again by ED officials, adding that if called again, she will cooperate with the financial probe agency.
