Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham finally announced Pathan. The trio, who will be seen playing the lead roles in the film, dropped the announcement teaser last week and confirmed that the film will hit the theaters on the Republic Day 2023 weekend. While the plot has been kept a secret, director Siddharth Anand has now opened up about working with King Khan and Deepika.
Pathan is Shahrukh’s comeback film after a long hiatus. The actor was last seen in 2018’s Zero, directed by Aanand L Rai, alongside Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. The film failed at the box office and Shah Rukh took a break from the big screen. Thus, Pathan will be one of the most awaited movies of the coming year.
Speaking about the film, Sidharth told India Today that he is honored to be working with Shah Rukh, but it comes with its share of responsibility. “With us is Shah Rukh Khan, the most loved superstar of our generation. It is an honor and a responsibility for all of us. So, we really can’t go wrong at any point and we have made sure that this video was bang for buck for all those who were eagerly waiting for Shah Rukh to announce Pathan!” he added. Said. He also called Deepika ‘India’s biggest female superstar’ and expressed her excitement about working with the actors.
Pathan’s announcement teaser was received with open arms. Not only did fans start trending the title on Twitter, but some die-hard fans of SRK also made their way to Shah Rukh’s house Mannat to announce his comeback project as a gesture of gratitude towards the actor.
Apart from Pathan, SRK has a few other rumored projects as well. These include a film with Tamil filmmaker Atlee and a long-reported project with Rajkumar Hirani.
