Agra
One of the seventh wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal, Agra is one of the hottest tourist destinations in India. And the hordes of tourists come not only from other parts of the country but from all over the world. The cities intertwine various chapters of Indian history with monuments and architecture that showcase the architectural brilliance of the Mughal dynasty. If you want to spend some time in the comfort of nature away from the chaotic cities, you can visit Dudhwa National Park in the Lakhimpur-Kheeri district of the state Indo-Nepal border. The national park is home to a variety of endangered species, including hispid hare, swamp deer, Bengal florican, leopard and barasingha, as well as 400 species of exotic and migratory birds. It is famous for being one of the largest and finest tiger reserves in the country.
Varanasi
Last but certainly not least, on our list is Varanasi. Considered to be one of the oldest cities in the history of human civilization, Varanasi is one of the most popular tourist destinations not only in India but in the world. Situated on the banks of the holy river Ganges, Varanasi is home to countless temples.
