UP Assembly Election 2022: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) has given an opportunity to Mukhtar Ansari to join its party. The party’s UP president Shaukat Ali has said that he is ready to accept Mukhtar Ansari in the party and if Mukhtar Ansari wants, he will be given a ticket.
Shaukat Ali says, “He is innocent till proven guilty.” The AIMIM is considering making Atiq Ahmed a part of the party besides Mukhtar Ansari.

Shaukat Ali has alleged that all Muslims are being treated unfairly in the society, questioning Mayawati’s decision to include BSP MP Atul Rai from Ghosi, who has been accused of rape. He said that the presence of AIMIM has surprised BJP and SP, hence a fake case has been registered against Owaisi.
He said that Owaisi did not make any such remarks which would increase the enmity, hence the cases registered against him are completely baseless and false.
BSP distances itself from Mukhtar Ansari
It has been seen that BSP is keeping distance from former mafia leader and politician Mukhtar Ansari. BSP President Mayawati today announced that the party will no longer give election ticket to Ansari. He has announced that BSP state president Bhim Rajbhar will be made the candidate in place of Ansari from Mau seat.
Mayawati said that she will no longer allow criminals and mafia leaders to represent her party in elections. Bhim Rajbhar had contested from Mau seat in 2012 on a BSP ticket, but he was defeated by around 6,000 votes by Mukhtar Ansari, who then contested on behalf of the Qaumi Ekta Dal.
