BJP targeted fiercely on Tuesday Rahul Gandhi For his criticism of the state of democracy in India and of the RSS from Britain, claiming that he clearly believes that he is fully “capturing the Maoist thought process through his ministers” and “anarchist elements”.

Addressing a press conference, former Union minister and BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad expressed his party’s disapproval of Gandhi’s “misuse of the platform of the British Parliament” to spread shameful lies and baseless claims, and said that “proper need to be refuted”.

He accused the Congress leader of shaming India’s democracy, politics, parliament, judicial system and strategic security from foreign soil.

During an event organized by Indian-origin veteran opposition Labor Party MP Virender Sharma in the House of Commons premises, he said that opposition parties in India are often not allowed to debate issues in Parliament.

Prasad said Gandhi had forgotten all parliamentary norms, political decorum and ‘democratic shame’ by criticizing Indians from abroad.

The BJP leader also accused Gandhi of seeking the intervention of Europe and America in India and said he went against the general consensus in India against any interference in its internal affairs by foreign powers. Prasad asked Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and his predecessor Sonia Gandhi to react to Rahul Gandhi’s “completely irresponsible” statements and whether the opposition party rejected them.

The BJP leader also criticized Rahul Gandhi for condemning the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and claimed that the Hindutva organization is serving the society and the nation.
