oneplus Smartphones are known for their charging speed and it looks like the upcoming OnePlus 10 Pro may be aiming to set a new record here.
The recently launched smartphone from the company features 65W warp charging which is fast and claims to charge the 4500mAh battery of the OnePlus 9 Pro in around 30 minutes. The OnePlus 10 Pro will reportedly be faster.
according to leakster Mukul Sharma, the OnePlus 10 Pro will feature 125W charging speed along with other upcoming flagship smartphones from the BBK-owned brands.
The smartphones in question here are OnePlus 10 Pro, Realme GT2 Pro, Opposition find x4 series, no opposition Series and Reno 8 Pro.
Oppo unveiled its 125W Flash Charge technology in July and it is speculated that other manufacturers, including OnePlus, may use similar technology or a slightly modified version of it. Just to add, Oppo claims to charge a 4000mAh battery capacity in less than 20 minutes using 125 W Flash Charge.
It is important to note that regardless of the charging time, fast charging speeds also affect the battery and reduce capacity over time. Oppo recently reportedly told Android Authority that its 125W Flash Charge technology reduces battery capacity by up to 80% after 800 cycles.
Whether the 125W fast charging speed makes the cut in the upcoming smartphones from Oppo, OnePlus and Reality, only time will tell. Right now, these are just claims and nothing concrete is available about it.
