This was Maurya’s fifth attempt in the Civil Services Examination. “I was able to make it to the interview round twice, still I missed out on the final selection but even after going back a few sets and making my family proud, it is a joy and a dream come true. Morya, who did Electrical and Communication Engineering from NIT Warangal in 2014, started working in a multinational company in Hyderabad after graduation. “Even though I got a job as an electrical engineer, I didn’t feel complete. Since childhood I wanted to become an IAS officer so I decided to fulfill my dream. I quit my job and started preparing for the exam. But, I could not clear the exam in the initial attempts. I decided to rejoin my job while trying for the exam. ,

To prepare for his exams, Maurya joined Civils Daily, an online learning platform to continue his preparation along with the job. He claims that he also took the help of other platforms including Youtube and Telegram’s new letter pages to prepare for the exam.

Talking about his interview, he said, “The interview was not as intimidating for me as I had tried earlier. Also, with my back down working, communication was not my challenge.”
