Nagpur: 12 policemen test COVID-19 positive after returning from training in Pune. Nagpur News – Times of India

Nagpur: Around 12 policemen, including a woman, have been deployed in various police stations of the city. Nagpur city Tested Covid-19 positive after returning from Pune, where he had gone to attend a training between August 30 and September 9 this month.
It is learned that around 33 cops had gone to attend a training Maharashtra Intelligence Academy (MIA) as a part of their refresher course module.
After returning from training, several policemen started developing symptoms following which top officials suggested them to go for tests.
Nagpur Police is now coordinating with the Health Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation to move the police to various institutional quarantine centres. Contact tracing of the affected policemen has also started on a war footing.
City Police Chief Amitesh Kumar, Joint CP Aswati Dorje and DCP (HQ) Sandeep Pakhle are keeping a close watch on the precautionary measures.
Further tests are underway at Takli’s Police Hospital under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer Dr Sandeep Shinde.
