Nagarjuna denies reaction on theater ticket price issue in Andhra Pradesh

Veteran Telugu star Nagarjuna has refused to comment on the theater ticket price issue in Andhra Pradesh. Nagarjuna spoke during a pre-release event of his film ‘Bangaraju’ on Wednesday.

Nagarjuna was questioned by a journalist on the minimum ticket price for films in Andhra Pradesh. Nagarjuna declined to comment on the matter, saying he did not want to address political issues during a film event.

The ‘Manmadhudu’ actor said, “I refuse to comment on political issues, as it is a film related incident. I can only talk about ‘Bangaaraju’ film and related things here.”

Nagarjuna had earlier said, “I have no problem even if the prices are low. My film is fine with these prices. Maybe it will earn a little less at the box-office. But no problem.”

The Telugu film industry is facing several hurdles in Andhra Pradesh, in the wake of falling movie ticket prices and theater confiscations. Some celebrities like Nani, Ram Gopal Varma, Raghavendra Rao have opposed this move of the state government.
