Shahid Kapoor stepped out early to cast his vote in Mumbai in the fifth phase of polling today.
Shahid Kapoor cast his vote for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Mumbai today, May 20. The actor went in early to his designated polling booth in Mumbai to cast his vote. He then took to his Instagram account to urge his fans to also exercise their right to vote.
Shahid Kapoor took to his Instagram story to flaunt the indelible ink on his finger and wrote, “Cast your vote. Every vote matters.” Shahid kept his look simple and wore a white T-shirt and black sunnies.
The fifth phase of voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 has begun today, May 20. Eight states and Union Territories going for polls in this phase are Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.
The voting began at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. Several Bollywood stars like Akshay Kumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Tabu and Swanand Kirkire were seen at their designated polling booths early in the morning.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Kriti Sanon. The film performed well at the box office and received rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. Next, he is working on big-budget films like Deva, Ashwatthama: The Saga Continues, and Farzi 2.
The actor took to Instagram to announce his new film Deva on the occasion of Dussehra last year. He also shared the first look in which Shahid appeared to be playing the role of a police officer in the movie. In the photo, Shahid was seen flaunting his short hairdo while holding a gun in his hand. Sharing the photo, Shahid revealed that he is locking Dussehra 2024 for Deva. “DEVA in theatres on Dussehra 11th October 2024,” he wrote. The film also stars Pooja Hegde. Deva will be directed by Rosshan Andrrews and is produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films.
