Actress Mouli Ganguly, who has featured in some popular TV shows like Kaahin Kissii Rose, Kusoom and Jamai Raja, is currently playing the character of Mahasati Anusuya in Bal Shiva. He said, ‘It’s a beautiful character. The character chose me more than the character I chose. I was just lucky.”
She continued, “The team is very good, very positive. Be it Siddharth (Arora), Shivya (Pathania) and most importantly Rajeev Bharadwaj, who plays my husband. And of course Aan, our child Shiv , he is a four year old kid. I need to say, he is so sweet and so intelligent for his age. I am amazed to see that at his age his ability to speak is so clear and he remembers the lines. Also “Technically when you tell him how to face the camera, he totally does it.”
Talking about preparing for his role, he said, “We have a very good creative team for the show. With the Directors, Creators team – from looks to voice modality, we have said and done many workshops. This is the maximum number of workshops I have done for one show. We did group readings so that everyone could know their ‘sura’. Once we are on the floor we don’t waste time. We were given a lot of briefings, notes.”
“The most important thing is that it is mythological so the language should be perfect. Pure Hindi. As an actor I have a habit of improvising, go with a little fluency. Here that fluency should be very limited because I know the language. Can’t mold my way, it has to be very specific.”
Talking about her look in the mythological drama, the actress said, “I give full credit to the creative team. After several look tests we came across this look of Mahasati Anusuya. The color scheme and everything, they actually worked on it. has done.”
Molly is returning to the small screen after 2 years. She was last seen in Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. The actress said, “I love playing a character that is well set, well defined. The length is not so important, but it should have a beginning and an end. Where you are not only there, but as a character you are contributing to the story.”
