Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned how US President Joe Biden spoke at length about the Biden surname in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met US President Joe Biden, his first bilateral meeting since Biden took over as POTUS. While the two leaders discussed India-US relations and the upcoming birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on October 3, there was a topic in their conversation that drew laughter and smiles from both the leaders.
Giving his remarks in Hindi, PM Modi mentioned that President Biden had spoken at length about the existence of his surname in India. Modi said he has brought together a set of documents on the subject and hoped that they will be helpful to the US President.
“Mister President (US President Joe Biden), you have spoken extensively about the Biden surname in India today and, in fact, you have mentioned it to me before. Well, when you mentioned it to me, I looked for the documents. Today, I have brought together a set of documents, maybe we will be able to take this matter forward and those documents can be of use to you,” PM Modi said.
POTUS laughingly asked PM Modi if he has come to know if he is related to Bidens in India. Biden asked, “Was I related?” To which PM Modi replied, “Yes!”
PM Modi gave his remarks without a mask, while Biden later put on his mask. An Indian official explained the PM in English. He expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome at the White House and had a normal conversation with the US President.
