A man was stabbed to death by two unidentified miscreants at Kattippalla on the outskirts of Mangaluru last night. The deceased has been identified as Jalil and he was stabbed when he was standing in front of his shop.
The reason behind the incident is not yet known.
Section 144 has been imposed in Suratkal, Bajpe, Kavur and Panambur police station areas from 6 am on 25 December till 6 am on 27 December. This has been done to prevent any untoward incident in the wake of the murder incident. The sale of liquor has also been banned till 10 am on December 27.
