Solapur (Maharashtra) : Four employees of Municipal Corporation died while working on drainage system in Akkalkot. Maharashtraof Solapur district on Friday.
On Thursday, two laborers died on the spot, while the other two were taken to the hospital in critical condition. He died on Friday morning.
After the incident, the local people alleged Solapur Municipal Corporation for its negligence. He said that the municipality did not provide necessary safety equipment to the workers engaged in drainage work. According to the local people, the construction work of the National Highway in the area is also causing trouble for the workers. Local people tried to save the deceased laborers but yesterday due to lack of safety equipment, two died on the spot.
Social organizations have strongly condemned this horrific incident and demanded action from the administration against the contractors involved in the work.
