“He’s been brilliant. I played him in the nets for the first time a month ago, didn’t want to face him. He was sharp, he’s scary at times in the nets. It’s not just the pace, he has a good brain , and has a bit of skill as well. has a great slower one and he knows when to use them,” Rahul spoke about Mohsin.

Mohsin ran through the Delhi batting, first dismissing opener David Warner and then returned to pick up the crucial wicket of Rishabh Pant. Pant was castled by Mohsin with a fuller delivery after setting him up with an array of short balls. After denting the DC chase in the middle overs, he returned to pick up the wickets of high-flying Rovman Powell and Shardul Thakur to complete his four-fer in the game.

Rahul was quite impressed with the performance of his team and hailed praises on Deepak Hooda – who scored a quickfire half century to set the base for a massive total for LSG. The captain stated that Hooda has been very smart with the way he has operated and has read the situation very very well.

“He’s been batting well. Entirely the season, he has done well, even when the team’s under pressure, he has played really smart cricket. He’s read the situation really well, again, really really hard working guy. Really happy that he is getting those runs for the team,” KL concluded.

After their win against DC, Lucknow have moved to the second position in the points table with 14 points from 10 games. They will be going into a long break and play KKR next on 7 May.
