Mumbai: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29 last year. The ‘Angrezi Medium’ actor succumbed to colon infection at the age of 53. Ever since his death, his family members and fans are remembering him with nostalgia.
Irrfan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar shared a throwback video of the ‘The Namesake’ actor when he was unwell and shooting for his film ‘Angrezi Medium’ in London. The late actor can be seen reading a book in his vanity van as others are playing cards.

Sharing the video, Sutapa penned a heartfelt note for the actor and wrote, “With Irrfan’s team shooting in London three years ago. He was not well on this special day, but who can tell hate playing cards But relentlessly watched his reading. Booked and also saw us play in the make-up van. I crave for your grace Irfan#shootingwet #AngreziMedium#wivesenjoying#imissyou”.
‘Angrezi Medium’ marked Irrfan Khan’s last on-screen appearance. The film was released a month before his death on March 12, 2020, but could not run for long in theaters due to the outbreak of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The film starred Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan in the lead roles. It also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles.
Irrfan’s elder son Babil Khan, who is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Anushka Sharma’s Netflix production ‘Kaala’ alongside ‘Bulbul’ star Trupti Dimri, shared a post for his father and wrote, “I’m working so hard man, I wish you were here to testify.”
Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumor (NET) in 2018 and underwent chemotherapy and treatment in the US.
