Live Cricket Score West Indies vs Pakistan, ICC Women’s World Cup: WI vs Pakistan Live Updates from Seddon Park, Hamilton

WI vs PAK Live Scores Women’s ODI World Cup: Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the West Indies Women vs Pakistan Women ODI World Cup match from Seddon Park, Hamilton. Windies have played quality cricket in this tournament so far with a fearless approach, while Pakistan failed to live up to the expectations with their inconsistency. Pakistan are already out of the race to reach the semi-finals as they will play against West Indies with pride.

With Pakistan losing their first four matches in the ongoing ICC Women’s One Day World Cup, their head coach David Hemp would like to end their campaign by winning the remaining three matches and take a respectable place in their group.

Pakistan’s chances of qualifying for the semi-finals after four losses are negligible, with Hemp saying West Indies’ narrow win against Bangladesh has propelled them to third place in the table. With West Indies expected to finish third in the table and England and New Zealand in the top four, Pakistan’s matches against all three teams could turn out to be very important.

With Pakistan set to face West Indies on Monday, Ganja said they would try to win all three matches to make an impact in the tournament.

“Well, we obviously can’t qualify. So it’s a challenge for us. But I mean, obviously there’s an interest now that West Indies won that tight game a few days ago and finished third. I think there are clearly four teams down there looking to see what they do next and obviously there will be a little bit of interest as we play some of those teams obviously England – These three – West Indies, England and New Zealand. So there are some really big games coming up in the tournament,” Ganja said in a virtual press conference on Sunday.

West Indies head coach Courtney Walsh said the team has proved its critics wrong after victories against New Zealand, England and Bangladesh in the 2022 Women’s World Cup.

The Caribbean side sits third in the table and could open a four-point gap over India and England with a win over Pakistan on Monday (March 21).

Walsh’s side are on the verge of reaching the last-four stage despite heavy losses to India and Australia, but the 132-Test veteran believes West Indies are shutting down their pre-tournament critics with a win.

“I’m overjoyed. When we left home, probably a lot of people didn’t give us a chance and our last campaign was not what we wanted. It started off very well. So everyone had high hopes. And then We lost two games which is a disappointment, which you can understand from the fans, as we want to win, and we want to do well,” he said.

“We know there is a level of concern because we have three low scores, but I still support women to come out and do well. I worry about our low scores. But they have to change that. Have enough confidence,” said the coach.
