New Delhi: Well-known Bollywood director and producer Karan Johar shared his struggle of bringing Bollywood stars to his chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ by posting a hilarious promo of his upcoming season 7, before ‘Screw It I’. Am Still Brew It” Conclusion.
The 55-second long video shows Karan in his quirky avatar, which is positive that ‘everyone wants Koffee With Karan to come back’. However, proving them wrong, a collection of tweets soon surfaced in the promo, which featured some of the show’s haters making derogatory and rude comments online.
Karan ignored the tweet saying that even though not everyone likes the show, ‘everyone wants to be on the show’. However, in the next few moments, Karan’s claim failed as he was seen pleading Bollywood celebrities to appear on the show, who seemed quite reluctant.
In the hilarious video, Karan tries his best to convince the stars, resorting to promises, blackmail and bribes to get them on the show. He agreed to give more than one hamper, assured that he would not ask any ‘personal questions’ and even reminded him that he had ‘launched’ them. Karan’s last tactic was to tell the other star that they can’t break their friendship on a show.
When all the above bribery proved to be in vain, Karan took a dig at his haters with his classy attitude saying that whatever happens, he will still be drinking the show like a fresh cup of coffee.
Koffee With Karan Season 7 will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar from July 7. This will be the first time that the chat show will not air on television but on OTT platform. First aired on Star World in 2004, ‘Koffee With Karan’ is known for bringing together many Bollywood celebs who spill the beans on a range of topics from their careers to relationships and personal enmity. Chat shows have also been a hot topic of controversies.
