SRINAGAR: Two Hizbul-Mujahideen terrorists were killed in an encounter on Friday in Pampore’s Crew area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Official sources said two terrorists were killed, though their identity was yet to be ascertained.
According to sources, both the slain terrorists were linked to Hizb.
Earlier, reports said that a joint team of police, army and CRPF had launched a cordon and search operation on the crew.
As the joint team of forces moved towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists opened fire on the security forces, following which an encounter broke out. (GNS)
