Kerala: As part of a two-day visit to Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kochi on Monday and received a rousing welcome with thousands of people, including BJP workers and supporters, queuing up on both sides for a distance of about two kilometres. The long route of his roadshow is from INS Garuda Naval Air Station to the venue of the youth program.
Modi reached the Naval Air Station after 5 pm and started his roadshow from there around 5.40 pm.
Dressed in traditional Kerala attire, Modi first began the roadshow on foot, waving to people on both sides of the road amid tight security, with thousands of police personnel deployed to ensure the PM’s safety.
People of all age groups from different parts of the state lined up on both sides of the road for hours in advance to welcome Modi and showered flowers on him.
