On Tuesday, Katrina took to her Instagram stories to wish Ali on his 41st birthday. The actress reminisced and shared some old, never-before-seen pictures.
In the first picture shared by Katrina, she is seen posing with the director as he jokingly holds her neck. Along with the photo, she also penned a heartwarming note and wrote, “Happy birthday friend, wishing you all the best things in the world…and many more years for me to haunt you.” These images accurately reflect their friendship and wacky personalities when they are around each other on the sets of their film. The last image is a collage of Ali and Katrina’s pictures, in which the two are seen in identical poses like true besties.
Ali Abbas Zafar’s last directorial debut was Jogi, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Amyra Dastur. Based on the 1984 riots in Delhi, the film was streamed on Netflix. Ali has directed films like Gunday starring Ranveer, Arjun and Priyanka Chopra and Sultan starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma. Currently, the filmmaker is reportedly focusing on the Bade Miyan Chote Miyan reboot, which will mark the first collaboration between the two. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
There is also a lot of talk about Katrina Kaif working with Ali in the film Super Soldier, in which she will play the lead role. However, the film got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While there is no announcement as to when the film might go on floors, Zafar had earlier confirmed that the schedule would be discussed soon and the film is definitely happening.
“The superhero film with Katrina is definitely happening. it is with netflix And the film’s schedule was completely shaken due to the pandemic and Katrina had to fulfill Tiger 3 and her other commitments,” Ali had said.
Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif was last seen in Phone Bhoot alongside Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. She will next be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas opposite Vijay Sethupathi.
