Kashmir has once again become the first choice of international tourists. In the first six months of 2023, more than 15,000 foreign tourists have visited the Kashmir Valley. While the number of tourists visiting Kashmir has broken all previous records, foreign tourists have rated Kashmir the highest it has ever been. The Jammu and Kashmir government hosted the G20 meeting in May. Ambassadors and foreign delegates from around 17 countries participated in these meetings with a focus on tourism. The government hopes that the G20 meeting held in Srinagar will give a further boost to Kashmir tourism across the world. The numbers have already crossed all previous records and the government is also planning to go international, especially in South East Asian, Middle East and North American countries.
Tourism Secretary Syed Abid Rasheed Shah said, “Promotion of tourism is a very dynamic work done by the tourism department in Jammu and Kashmir.
