The actor took to his Instagram handle to share about the time when cancer ‘sneaked up’ in his family and opened up about his mother’s cancer diagnosis. The actor spoke about the difficult times his family had gone through recently. The good news is that her mother has beaten cancer and has become a warrior with her courage and willpower.
Kartik shared a picture of himself with his mother Mala Tiwari and wrote, “Sometime during this month the Big C – ‘Cancer’ sneaked in and tried to destroy our family’s life! We despair We were beyond stunned and helpless! But thanks to the willpower, resilience and never-give-up attitude of this fierce soldier – My Mom, we turned to ‘courage’ and marched with all our might and fought through the darkness. Won but were ready to win the battle! What it taught us after all and continues to teach us every day is that there is no greater superpower than the love and support of your family! #SuperHero #CancerWarrior.”
