New Delhi: Earlier this year, Kartik Aaryan’s exit from Karan Johar’s upcoming film ‘Dostana 2’ made headlines. This news fueled the nepotism debate and gave rise to many speculations. Though Kartik Aaryan refrained from commenting on his exit from the film, he once again refused to comment on the fact that he recently attended an event.
Kartik Aaryan, who is currently busy promoting his recently released film ‘Dhamaka’, appeared at an event. When asked about his exit from ‘Dostana 2’, Kartik refused to comment on it and said that he has reached this stage because of his talent.

Though the actual reason behind Kartik’s exit has not been revealed, it has been speculated that there was a difference of opinion between the filmmaker and the actor which led to the actor’s exit from the film. ‘Dostana 2’ stars Janhvi Kapoor and debutante Lakshya in pivotal roles. After the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ actor’s exit, the lead actor for ‘Dostana 2’ is yet to be revealed.
Dharma Productions revealed in a statement earlier this year, “Due to professional circumstances on which we have decided to maintain a respectful silence – we will be resuming Dostana 2, directed by Colin D’Cunha. Please return soon.” Wait for the official announcement”.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan has several upcoming films in his kitty. He will next be seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, ‘Shehzada’, ‘Captain India’, ‘Freddie’, Vasan Bala’s untitled superhero film, Om Raut’s untitled 3D action film and Sameer Vidhan’s epic musical love saga.
