Karan Johar denies insurance claim of Rs 50 crore for Brahmastra

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is once again making headlines for its much awaited film Brahmastra. The production house is rumored to be claiming a hefty amount of over Rs 50 crore from an insurance company. Now according to a report in Spotboye, Karan Johar has denied any such claim and called it a false report. When contacted by the entertainment portal, the owner of Dharma Productions called it “not at all true”.

Starring Alia, Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor, the film is jointly produced by Fox Star Studios and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Ayan Mukerji’s directorial is considered possibly the first superhero trilogy. The film has been shot in beautiful locations of Bulgaria, Scotland, London and New York. The film will also feature superstars from the south like Nagarjuna and Shah Rukh Khan in a special role. In the film, Ranbir will be seen portraying the character of Shiva, who has superpowers. Alia’s character’s name is Isha.

The shooting of the film started in 2018 and the film was scheduled to hit the theaters in 2019. However, it was delayed due to the pandemic. The makers are yet to announce the new release date.

Karan Johar will return to the director’s chair with his much-awaited project, Takht. The historical drama will be a multi-starrer starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles.
