Kapil Dev slams Sanju Samson for this reason

The captain of 1983 World Cup winning India, Kapil Dev has always been candid about whether he is influenced by the current young generation or not Indian Cricketers or disappointed with them. With the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia later this year, India have four major options as to who they want behind the stumps. With players like Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan and the experienced Dinesh Karthik available, it will be an interesting case to see who gets a chance to play in the World Cup playing XI.

Of the four controversies, India legend Kapil Dev expressed that he is disappointed with Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson as he is not performing well. Dev meant that Sanju has a lot more quality than his recent performances.

“To be honest, if I have to pick a better wicketkeeper among the three (Karthik, Ishaan and Samson), I would say that they are almost at the same level. I cannot say that there is much difference. But in terms of Batting, each one is better than the other. Some day, all three can win matches for India in their own way. If you talk about Wriddhiman (Saha), I would say he is one of the better batsman out of the three but the rest A much better batsman. I am extremely upset with Sanju Samson. He is very talented. But that guy scores in 1-2 matches and then fails. There is no consistency,” Kapil Dev told Ankat.

Samson was given several chances in the Indian jersey but he didn’t do anything. Samson has scored 174 runs in his 13 T20 Internationals for India without a single half-century. However, Samson has been impressive with his IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR), scoring 484 and 458 runs in his last two seasons.
