Kanwar Yatra 2022 Traffic Updates: Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad traffic police have made elaborate security arrangements ahead of the ‘Kanwar Yatra’, which will start from today, July 14. Devotees of Lord Shiva in large numbers will travel from Gaumukh to Kanwar, Gangotri Dham, Rishikesh and Haridwar. This year the estimated number is around 15-20 lakh and the traffic police has made arrangements to segregate the movement of Kanwariyas and other road users. The Kanwar Yatra will run from July 14 to July 26.
Following are the route diversions in Noida, Ghaziabad and Delhi:
Heavy transport vehicles will be diverted by Uttar Pradesh Police from Mohan Nagar towards NH-24 and such traffic will not be allowed to move towards Bhopra and/or GT Road towards Wazirabad Road via Apsara Border, Police said.
Heavy commercial transport vehicles coming from GT Karnal Road on Outer Ring Road except city buses will be directly diverted towards NH-24 and will not be allowed on Wazirabad Road and GT Road towards Shahdara. The police announced some more diversions.

Due to the diverting of traffic of vehicles going from Apsara border and Maharajpur border to Ghazipur by UP Police, there will be a situation of jam on NH-24.
Heavy vehicles going from Badarpur Delhi to Okhla barrage via Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Moradabad will be diverted towards Noida Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Heavy vehicles moving from DND Flyway towards Okhla Barrage via Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Moradabad will be diverted towards Noida Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Heavy vehicles going from Chilla border towards Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Moradabad will have to use Eastern Peripheral Expressway via Noida Expressway.
