Cabin pressurization alert after take-off, pilot-in-command decided to return to Mumbai
A pressure alert forced a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Kandla to return to the airport. However, the aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew members are safe.
The airline said in a statement that on February 18, a SpiceJet Q400 aircraft was scheduled to operate the airline’s flight SG-2903 (Mumbai-Kandla). “After take off, there was a cabin pressurization alert. The pilot-in-command decided to return to Mumbai,” SpiceJet said in a statement.
Mumbai Air Traffic Control was informed about the situation and the aircraft landed safely at Mumbai airport.
The airline’s flight operations from Mumbai to Tirupati were also affected.
It has not been cancelled, the statement said, only the scheduled time of its departure has been modified.
