‘Jugjug Jio’ is a progressive step on infidelity, divorce: Varun Dhawan

Actor Varun Dhawan says his upcoming family film “Jugjug Jio” offers a new look at infidelity and divorce. Backed by Dharma Productions, the comedy drama focuses on a family where both father and son are planning to divorce their partner. The film, directed by Raj Mehta, also stars veteran actor Neetu Kapoor. Anil Kapoor Also Kiara Advani, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli. Varun said the film may be loaded with all the tropes of a commercial potboiler, but at its core is an emotional story about relationships.

“The ending of this film is unexpected. We are used to dealing with the topic of infidelity on a superficial level and then brushing it under the carpet. In this film, it is dealt with in an interesting way. It is progressive and a new take. Lo. Hope, people will be happy with it,” the actor said at the film’s promotional event.

Mehta, known for making “Good News” the box office success of 2019, said that he has touched upon the topic of divorce, but with no intention of offering a solution. “We haven’t tried to give an answer but have presented it in an entertaining way. Hopefully these characters will give some answers to the audience,” he added.

Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor were also present on this occasion. The veteran stars said that people need to see both the positive and the negative in their partners.

“Marriage is about thinking from the point of view of your partner. Both the people involved need to have this approach. I am someone who sees both plus and minus in a person,” said Anil Kapoor, who shared Sunita in real life. Married to Kapoor, said.

Neetu Kapoor, wife of late actor Rishi Kapoor, said that only two people involved in a relationship are responsible for taking care of it. When asked if he has any advice for his son?
