Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, US pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine has received emergency use approval in India.
He tweeted on Saturday afternoon, “India expands its vaccine basket! Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose COVID-19 vaccine has been approved for emergency use in India. India now has 5 EUA vaccines. The collective fight of the country will get further impetus.”
The shot will be brought to India through a supply agreement with domestic vaccine maker Biological E Ltd.
The healthcare major got India’s approval for its vaccine a day after applying for an emergency use authorization (EUA).
