New Delhi: Although the announcement of the iPhone 14 is still a few months away, there is never a boring moment when it comes to leaks and reports about the new Apple iPhone gadgets. This time around, leaks started leaking about the next generation iPhone 14 even before the release of the iPhone 13, and new information surfaced on a regular basis. The iPhone 14 series is expected to undergo a significant redesign both in terms of design and hardware. Several leaks have surfaced indicating the punch-hole design. However, according to a fresh source, Apple may go for a “hole plus pill design” on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The camera bump can also go away on the iPhone 14.
A total of four smartphones are expected to be included in the iPhone 14 series. The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro are expected to sport a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to sport a 6.7-inch display. The 120Hz panel is expected to be found only in the Pro variant. Another important update could be the 48MP primary camera in the iPhone 14 series.
The iPhone 14 series has the potential to be one of the most interesting iPhone lineups in recent times. But this will happen only when the leaks prove to be true. Apple may make minor changes to its existing iPhone lineup. According to rumours, Apple may discontinue the smaller iPhone series and replace it with a full-sized iPhone. Tipster John Prosser unveiled the iPhone 14 a week before the release of the iPhone 13. Since then, several renders and mockups have surfaced, most of which point to a similar design to the processor. However, according to expert Ross Young, Apple’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will include a “hole plus pill design”. A Twitter user originally pointed to the design, saying that the front camera would be housed in the hole and the Face-ID technology would be housed in the tablet.
The previously leaked design of Prosser shows the iPhone 14 with a single punch-hole camera at the center. As a result, the notch that has been there since 2017 may be removed. With no camera module and the camera sensor being flush with the surface, the back panel feels completely flat. The render also shows a round-volume titanium frame, which seems to be influenced by the iPhone 4.
According to tipster Ross Young, the iPhone 14 will sport a 6.06-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. With a similarly sized panel, the iPhone 14 Pro will have a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the top-end iPhone 14 Pro Max is reported to include a 6.68-inch OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 14 Max, which could replace the Mini model, could feature the same display as the Mini but with a 60Hz refresh rate.
Apple will update the iPhone 14 series with a new chipset like every year. A16 is the most likely name for the Bionic chipset. As per the leak, the chipset could be built on either 4nm or 3nm technology. However, because TSMC is facing production challenges with 4nm/3nm chipsets, it is possible that Apple will stick with 5nm chipsets.
On the iPhone 13 series, Apple increased the capacity to 1TB. According to reports, the storage of iPhone 14 Pro will be increased to 2TB. On Pro devices, the RAM can be expanded up to 8GB, while the normal model can have up to 6GB.
Multiple rumors suggest that the iPhone 14 Pro will include a high-resolution primary camera. According to this, Apple may replace the 12MP camera with the 48MP camera it has used for years. The camera is believed to be capable of recording footage at 8K resolution. TrendForce, a Taiwanese research organization, supports the report. As a result, there may be something to emphasize here.
Tipster LeakApplePro has revealed the pricing details for the iPhone 14 series in a recent leak. The iPhone 14 will cost $799, the same price as last year’s iPhone 13. According to the leak, the price of iPhone 14 Max is expected to be $ 899 (about Rs 66,990).
