While KL Rahul is enjoying his time with the Lucknow Super Giants, his international career recently suffered a setback. Rahul was not named in India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup scheduled to be held in the West Indies and USA. Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson are India’s two chosen wicketkeepers for the upcoming tournament.

KL Rahul had previously represented India in both the Asia Cup and the World Cup last year. He was phenomenal in both tournaments, also breaking the record for the fastest century in the ODI World Cup. However, he did not have the best of starts to his IPL campaign which could be directed towards his omission from the squad. Apart from him, Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Dinesh Karthik is another wicketkeeper-batter who did not make the squad despite being in impressive form in the current edition of the IPL.
