India vs New Zealand 2021: No instructions from team management, turn expected from day 2: Green Park curator

Kanpur: 22 yards strip on Green Park track to be used in the middle of the first test India Local curator Shiv Kumar says New Zealand may not have any grass, but it will show no signs of wear and tear. There have been instances when instructions came from the team management regarding certain types of pitches, but Kumar said this time neither coach Rahul Dravid nor captain Ajinkya Rahane had any specific demands.

“Neither did we get any instruction from the BCCI nor did anyone from the team management contact me and ask for the rank turner. I have prepared the pitch keeping in mind the guidelines for a good pitch. which will last for more than three days. “This part of the world will have some amount of moisture in the month of November. However I can assure you that it is a firm track and will not break easily,” Kumar said.

While the last Test between India and New Zealand in Kanpur in 2016 lasted until the fifth day, over the years there has been a trend where visitors are presented with rank turners and matches ending within three days. “Some of the matches that ended within three days had a lot to do with how modern batsmen with T20 flair approached the spinners. I am confident that the match will not be over within three days,” Kumar said.
