India’s home season in 2023 will begin in January with six limited-overs matches against Sri Lanka. The BCCI on Thursday announced the schedule of three T20 matches and both the teams will play the same number of ODIs in a span of 12 days starting January 3 in Mumbai.
“India’s 2022-23 international home season will begin in January with a three-match T20 International and a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka,” the BCCI said in a release on Thursday.
The tour begins with a three-match T20I series with Pune and Rajkot being the two other venues confirmed as hosts apart from Mumbai.

The action then moves to Guwahati where the opening ODI of the series will be played followed by the second match in Kolkata with Trivandrum hosting the final.

The Indian team will have little time to rest though, starting January 18, when they host New Zealand for six white-ball matches, including three ODIs and as many T20Is.
