India and Israel unveil commemorative logo to mark 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations

New Delhi: Israel and India have unveiled a celebratory logo to honor the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The logo was launched digitally during an online ceremony, which was attended by the Ambassador of Israel to India, Naor Gillon, and the Ambassador of India to Israel, Sanjeev Singla. Other top ambassadors of both the countries also attended the event.

The official statement mentioned that the logo includes the David Star and the Ashoka Chakra, which appear on the national flags of both the countries, making the number 30 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the bilateral ties.

This unique logo reflects the expanded strategic cooperation of the two sides, the Israel Embassy said.

“This is a good opportunity to reflect on our mutual successes, as well as to carry forward and shape the next 30 years of our relationship. I am sure that our close existing cooperation in various fields will only continue to grow and flourish. in the years to come,” said Ambassador Naor Gillon.

Ambassador Sanjeev Singla said, “India and Israel are two ancient peoples, proud of their cultural heritage, and two vibrant democracies, eager to understand the future.”

Last year, the nations organized a logo design competition for students from renowned design institutes in Israel and India to produce the 30th anniversary logo.

Both the Holon Institute of Technology in Israel and the National Institute of Design in India were asked to submit entries.

An Indian student, Nikhil Kumar Rai, developed the winning design, which was selected by a joint decision of the embassies and consulates of both the countries.

It was chosen as the official logo to commemorate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Israel and India.

“The 30th anniversary of the relationship between Israel and India will be marked with a wide range of cultural events throughout the year. We are committed to building on the remarkable achievements of the past three decades, to further this growing partnership in the decades to come. to be developed, for the benefit of both countries,” read the official statement by the Embassy of Israel.
