Surya smashed a sensational 51-ball 112 not out to bring up his third T20I century as India reached 228 for five, making the task easy for their bowlers.

Suryakumar Yadav is in the form of his life. After yet another T20I ton, one can safely say that SKY’S THE LIMIT. The 32-year-old has scored three T20I hundreds so far, with his last century coming against Sri Lanka in the third T20I on Friday. It was a brilliant innings where he brought up his half-century in just 26 balls but went a step further and scored his next 50 in just 19 balls. Not only was it fast, it was also devastating, with Mr. 360’s attack so ferocious that Dasun Shanaka seemed completely out of control. Besides, the Sri Lankan dugout also looked clueless.

Meanwhile, if there was one shot that could have defined the entire innings, it had to be the lap shot which he deployed effectively in the 13th over. As can be seen in the clip, he went for it and then fell asleep on the pitch as soon as he made contact with the ball. watch

‘It is important to put pressure on yourself’

After the match, when Harsha Bhogle asked about his brilliant performance, Surya said that a lot of hard work has gone into his innings.

“It’s really important to put pressure on yourself when you’re preparing for a game. If you do this in practice, it becomes a bit easier while playing the game. There is a lot of hard work involved but it is about getting quality practice sessions,” he said at the post-match presentation.
